PARENT/SENIOR RECOGNITION NIGHT will be
Monday, 2/4/08, at the Irondale meet. The boys’ parents are recognized for the things they've done to help their athlete and the team. The senior boys are honored for their contribution to the team as well.
Each parent of a senior receives a white rose, each parent of an underclassman receives a white carnation, and each senior receives a white rose.  A photo is taken of each athlete with their parent(s).
Here is what to expect:  All athletes line up with their parent(s) at the diving board end of the pool.  They are presented with their flower(s) at the pool office as their names are announced.  The athlete and parent(s) proceed down the length of the far side of the pool and stop at the middle ladder to get their picture taken.  They continue down the length of the pool and line up along the shallow end of the pool.  This all takes place in the middle of the meet, after the diving.

Max Haynes, Riley's dad, has a website on which he posts images from our meets.
The galleries that the images are in have a feature where anyone can download an image to keep for themselves, so parents can download images as well as the yearbook, etc.

THANK YOU SO MUCH MAX!

Thanks to all of you who attended the Swim/Dive Informational Meeting yesterday afternoon!  WELCOME to the newcomers and WELCOME BACK to the veterans of the swimming and diving program.  I hope you are excited for the upcoming season.  Please refer to this website often throughout the season for updates and new info.

For everyone's information:  It was determined to call ourselves OPC Swimming and Diving.  We will use the colors Black and White.  We will not use the Oriole or Pirate Mascots, we will use a swimmer and diver logo.

If you have friends or teammates who do not have internet access, please pass this information along to them.  Also, please continue to encourage your friends and classmates to join swimming or diving this season!

If anyone has any questions or concerns that are not addressed on the website, please feel free to email me at any time.

The Osseo High School Boys Swimming and Diving Co-op informational meeting will be on Tuesday, November 13th in the Osseo Junior High Pool area at 3:15 PM.  Grades 9-12 are welcome.  No cuts are made.  If you join you will participate.  If you plan to join but can't make the meeting, pick up information in the Osseo High School Athletic Office.  Contact Coach Jessica by email with any questions.

*Please be advised that there are only 2 manager positions available per season.  If you are interested in one of the spots you MUST contact a head coach to get confirmation that it is available.  Also, because managing is something you can earn a letter for, be advised that we will give preference to applicants seeking to earn the letter.
